How would this really work?

In an attempt to answer this question, I am trying to recruit people to test out a simplified version of the Shared Pain bands described earlier. Volunteers are given two simple bands (no electronics) to test out sending pain updates to a chosen friend or relative using existing technology such as a cell phone or computer. The band would simply act as a reminder (in this case). Please see the photo below for more information. If you would like to participate, please let me know ASAP. Thank you!

I just found your blog this morning. I live in the East Bay and am a chronic pain patient (or “not" so patient some days :P ). I would like to participate in what you are doing. Love the pain bracelet idea; I have been thinking of ways to help others see how we (cpps-chronic pain pts) feel on any given day. My sister in Florida lived thru her Mom’s DES and she has lots of stories to tell as well.

I found your blog through the How to Cope with Pain blog and have provided a link on my Chronically Inspired blog. I love your innovations and hope you continue to share your musings.

Please sign me up for the trial, I truly think this is a perfect idea and I very much want to be a part of this, in order to help us all...and the sooner the better! ;)

It says to contact you, but I don't know if you just mean post a comment or what...I see no other way of contacting you...so I just set up an account, and you hopefully can email me.

Thank you, for putting thought and time an effort into something that is so overlooked and ignored, and so needed. You're my hero today, doing this so that we can have that little extra communication to remind our friend/parent/etc. And when its on their wrist, they have to notice and remember. And its so perfect also because now if we don't have the words to tell our person how miserable we are, we just have to push a button and they know. You are a genius, and I hope you will be able to get this made! And if I can help in any way, I would be thrilled to help, so email me and I can give you my address or whatever and we can get started testing!

/so excited
/finally shutting up now
